    • Student who have registered for the departments that give education in English and who cannot pass the Proficiency exam must study at the English Preparation Program and complete it successfully.
  • What is the overall grade needed to complete the English Language Preparation Program successfully?
    • In order to complete the Prep School successfully, students' overall grade or proficiency exam grade must be 70 or above. The details of the examination system can be found at the overall assessment link.
  • How can I find the academic calendar?
    • The academic calendar and the detailed exam calendars can be found at the website's calendars link.
  • What is the Placement Exam?
    • The Placement Exam is NOT an achievement test. The Placement Exam aims to identify the students' level of English in order to place them in the appropriate level of English class.
  • What are the components of the Placement Exam?
    • The Placement Exam consists of reading, listening, use of English and writing parts.
  • Is it compulsory to take the Placement Exam?
    • All students must take the Placement Exam in order to identify their levels. Those who do not take the Placement Exam start their education at the lowest level (A1).
  • What is the Profiency Exam?
    • The Profiency Exam shows the level of English knowledge. It aims to assess whether the student has sufficient knowledge of English to be exempted from the Preparatory School and to pass to the department. In order for the students to be exempted from the Preparatory education, they need to get 70 or above on this exam.

    • The Profiency Exam consists of reading, listening, use of English, writing and speaking parts.
